Welcome to our first grade website! We are so excited that you have chosen to visit our classroom! This website is
designed so that we can share what's happening in our classroom with our family and friends. As you explore our site,
you can find our daily schedule, read about special events and learning that is taking place, view cool projects, read our
stories, meet our teacher, and even see us in action in our classroom. We hope that by visiting our classroom website, you
will get a better idea of what we do each day. Enjoy your journey!
First grade has a lot of new things to get used to: Routines,
new skills and ideas, and how can we forget, HOMEWORK! With that said, I hope your child’s adjustment
to this new year has been a smooth one. If there is anything I can do to make it easier, or just less painful, please let
me know. I hope we can work together throughout the year to make this a spectacular and successful year
for your first grader! In Room
1E, we believe in the Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness,
Respect, Responsibility, Fairness,
Caring, and Citizenship. We have discussed what each pillar means, how we can show them, and used
them to help us write our Classroom Promise. Please discuss these important traits with your child, and talk about
what he/she does to be a person of good character.

In
Room 1E, we have 23 students in our classroom: 13 girls and 10 boys.
We had a special mystery reader
in Room 1E~The Cat in the Hat!
We had the perfect
weather for our firetruck ride this year!
These trick-or-treaters look
to sweet to be scary!
Unlike the real Pilgrim boys and girls, we sat
down to eat our Thanksgiving dinner!
Look at these
darling and handsome first graders just about ready to go on stage for the BGM Elementary Holiday Program! Merry Christmas!
Our first graders were feverishly
searching for the 100 hershey kisses on the 100th Day Scavenger Hunt!
Look how snazzy we look in
our headbands! They even match our coats! Thank you Mrs Pendarvis!
We let our character shine during
the 6th annual Character Olympics! Go Team Respect!
